Congratulations to Beth!

SEFAA's Square Foot Fiber Art Pin-Up Show is now available for viewing at SEFAA. It will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 2 pm through May 16th. Don't miss it - several artists from SEFAA have pieces on display.

And I am pleased to announce that Beth (Adrian) Berghoff has won the FAF ribbon for best fusion of fiber in art. Congratulations, Beth. Gorgeous piece!

Here is a glimpse of some of the other pieces now showing at SEFAA. I hope everyone can go and see this collection of art.

Batik by Devon

A few weeks ago we at Fiber Art Fusion were treated to a glimpse into the amazing process of batik. The amazing Devon guided us through this introduction, illustrating techniques with her stunning pieces. What a talented batik artist, she is.

Adult size monarch butterfly wings (Devon is also a talented costume designer)

Baby's Tee

Cheater Shibori - The Results

Last month, Ben introduced us to his technique, Cheater Shibori. We had a great time and many people brought their results into the following meeting. Here are the results. Aren't they cheerful?

Tone-on-tone white fabric was used here.

More tone-on-tone

And the F-A-F letter challenge continues. See Lynn's zen tangle version below. Fabulous.

Lynn will teach us about fabric vessels like this one later on:

Diane's hand-stitch and crayon piece. Great fun.

Lynn's million piece medallion. Wow.

Diane's free-hand silk painting - Magnolias. Gorgeous.
